Freon R 134a Genetron Honeywell ::

Genetron^®134a, is a single component HFC refrigerant that replaced CFC-12 in many applications, but is now an industry standard in many chiller and refrigeration systems. Refrigerant R-134a holds an A1 ASHRAE safety classification, and is EPA SNAP accepted for replacing R-12 in most applications. Genetron^®134a is UL listed and can be used to replace CFC-12 in existing HVAC systems, or to service R-134a systems.

Generally, there will be few equipment design changes necessary to optimize the performance of Genetron 134a. Consult the Genetron Refrigeration Retrofit Guide for more information on retrofitting CFC refrigeration systems.
